- Symbol allowlist — saved my receiver during news — 76 votes · 3 comments
Receiver allowlist: only $EURUSD, $GBPUSD, $XAUUSD. Everything else gets dropped. Sounds restrictive but it stopped a noisy provider from blowing through me on $US30 during a CPI release.
- Move SL to breakeven on TP1 — how I configured it — 88 votes · 5 comments
Receiver settings → Trade Management → enable 'Move SL to breakeven on TP1'. Set the buffer to +1 pip on the entry direction. Works for MT4/MT5 receivers, not currently for Tradovate.
- Reverse-copying a losing provider — does anyone actually do this profitably? — 64 votes · 4 comments
Provider has been -28% over 2 months. Hit rate is 35% with bad RR. On paper, reverse-copying with the same SL/TP swap should be +EV. Anyone tried this with Copygram's invert feature for more than a sample-of-one month?
- Per-symbol multipliers — my setup — 119 votes · 2 comments
I copy one provider but I trust their gold calls more than their forex calls. Set multiplier 1.0 on $XAUUSD, 0.5 on everything else. Saved my account during a bad EUR week.

Math nobody does: - Account: 100k - Daily loss limit: 5% = $5,000 - Provider sometimes posts 5 signals before any close If each signal risks 1% you can be -5% by lunchtime on any noisy day. Cap your per-signal risk at .…
- Session filter — only trade London + NY overlap — 96 votes · 5 comments
Receiver setting: time filter 13:00–17:00 UTC. Anything that comes in outside that window gets dropped at the receiver, not blocked at the sender. So your other rooms still see the signal in logs.
- Dynamic equity-based sizing for funded accounts — 81 votes · 5 comments
Set risk-per-trade as a % of current equity, not starting balance. As the account grows the size scales up. As it draws down it scales down. Compounds nicely on 2-step prop challenges.
- Lot sizing: fixed vs % of equity vs multiplier — when to use which — 187 votes · 2 comments
Quick mental model: - Fixed lot → you trust your own sizing more than the provider's. Safe for prop firms. - Multiplier of source → you want to mirror the provider's risk profile. Dangerous if they go reckless. - % of e…
